This is a very early indication about the possibility that you may be affected by Dyscalculia.
This screener is most suitable for students from grades 3 through 12, but can also be used for college students.
There are 17 questions in this screener and after that you'll see an explanation about your results.
You will also receive an email confirming your participation and score.

Counting and skip counting backwards is more difficult for me than counting forward

Memorizing addition and subtraction facts is hard

Memorizing multiplication tables is hard, in particular the 7 and 8 times table

I work hard to memorize math facts and seem to know it one day, but forget it the next day

Having to say the answer for a math problem quickly makes me nervous

I prefer to write down numbers in columns instead of working it out mentally

I have trouble comparing and applying fractions, percents, and decimals

I start with the actual calculations straight away and do not take time to estimate an answer

Calculations with time, money, distance, and speed are confusing for me

Word problems are confusing, because I am not sure what the essential information is

Deciding what to do first in multi-step problems is hard for me

A lot of the math vocabulary is unclear to me


When I don't understand math in class, I am embarrassed and don't ask for an explanation

Explaining to a friend how to solve a problem is difficult

When I repeat numbers or copy them, I often mix up the order

I have forgotten important personal numbers such as house and phone numbers

I need a lot of time doing my math homework and I often get upset or anxious about it
